The 2nd Annual KPTO Kingston Kard...

Kingston Kards are valid for the 2010 calendar year and are available through this KPTO website, at Lighthouse Fitness in Plymouth, at Brian's Barbershop in Kingston and through the Kingston Recreation Department.  This Kard is full of discounts to local businesses.  Funds raised through the sale of the Kard are used by the KPTO to pay for classroom fieldtrips, cultural enrichment programs, teacher reimbursements and some school-run activities.  You may download additional forms and see ALL Kard information by clicking here!

Now through March 25, 2010, we can all earn extra money for our schools through the A+ Bonus Bucks Program at Stop & Shop.  Simply register your Stop & Shop Savings Card and link it to KES or KIS by logging on to www.stopandshop.com/aplus or by calling 1-800-275-2758.  Each purchase you make using your card counts toward a monthly payout from Stop and Shop.  Be sure to ask friends and family to help support our Kingston students by registering their own Stop & Shop savings card!

Recent Events:

Staff at KES and KIS were treated to a KPTO sponsored appreciation luncheon May 7.  Jen Whidden and committee volunteers also coordinated week-long raffles for each school.  Many thanks to everyone for their efforts!

 

Missy Battista and her awesome committee pulled off a very successful 5th Grade Tea for 5th grade girls and their female guests on Tuesday, March 16.  KPTO thanks these generous event sponsors: Kingston Florist, Kingston Orthodontics, Hannaford's, Stop & Shop, Aan Dora Salon, Tiny Boxes, Kingston Photo and Sugar Plum Bakery.

The popular KPTO Annual Breakfast with Santa took place Saturday, December 5.  Jennifer Murray and several volunteers made it a huge success.  Proceeds from the raffle and holiday book fair helped cover event costs making this a win-win!  See Photos in the Kingston Reporter!

 

On Friday, November 20 KES students enjoyed a cultural enrichment performance called Arithmetickles (www.arithmetickles.com).  See Kingston Reporter coverage!!

 

On November 4, Grade 3 students, teachers and chaperones visited Plimoth Plantation.  The field trip offered a unique opportunity for children to understand and feel what life was like in Plimoth Colony during the 1600s.  The students explored the Wampanoag homesite at the Plantation.  Transportation and admission for this class trip was 100% funded by generous donations to the KPTO!!!

 

On Friday, October 23 KIS students enjoyed a KPTO-sponsored cultural enrichment performance called CelloBop (www.yamass.org/edmats.php).  See More Info!

KPTO co-sponsored a Fall Gala with Kingston Education Foundation (KEF) on Friday, October 16 at Jones River Trading Company (42 Elm Street  Kingston).  Proceeds will be shared between our two organizations to benefit KES and KIS classroom teacher needs.  Click Here for more information on KEF.
